PROGRAM ACTIVITIES: CULTURAL

An important part of the trip is to allow the group to experience the cultural treasures of the UK. For any American the heritage is an inspiring and thought provoking experience and the teens are no exception. Site-seeing allows the group to have fun and learn about the history, traditions and people of the UK, in an informal way.

In the UK, the group typically visits the following places: Tower of London
Globe Theatre, Museum of Natural History, National Trust Sites, Royal Air Force Museum and the BBC Television Center.

While in Birmingham, the group visited the canals and had a shopping expedition at the Bullring Center.
The US and UK teens cooled off in the fountains at the historic Chatsworth House, on the hot summer’s day of their visit.

They also experienced the fun of its garden maze, along with the art treasures inside the stately home.
