Dinner Dance in Hollywood This fundraiser took place at the Catalina Grill a venue famed for hosting jazz concerts. A Reception and Silent Auction 
was followed by dinner. Alumni spoke about how trips to the UK had been a very positive experience.

The diners were entertained by
Jazz America's "Swingtet", an 8-piece combo, that opened for the reigning king of Latin jazz, PONCHO SANCHEZ, whose infectious rhythms got the diners on to the dance floor.
One of the foundation's primary functions is to put on special events that draw attention to its mission and raise funds to send a new group to the UK or to the US.

British Consulate Garden Party
This event brought together civic dignitaries, notables from the entertainment industry and the business community, for an afternoon of fun. This took place in the garden of the British Consulate in Los Angeles. A drawing of a raffle of donated items took place and British themed beverages and food, were also partaken by the attendees. The event also awarded a special award to John Mack and Allan Young in recognition of outstanding contributions to youth activities.
Chief of Police, William J. Brattan, made a speech on the importance of motivating youth and giving them the skills and confidence to overcome the realities of urban life.
